Board Member Highlight: Sharon Myers β¨
Born and raised in Hyde Park, Sharon Myers has dedicated her life to education, leadership, and giving back to the community she loves β€οΈ
A graduate of FDR High School and Dutchess BOCES CTI, Sharon began her career in cosmetology before owning and operating her own salon. She later returned to CTI to inspire and mentor the next generation, turning her passion into a lifelong career in vocational education and workforce development.
For more than 30 years, Sharon has made a lasting impact through her work in career and technical education, student leadership, and community service. She currently serves in numerous leadership roles, including advisor for SkillsUSA, VP of the BOCES Faculty Association, mentor for new teachers, and member of the Dutchess Educational Foundation Board.
Her dedication to helping students recognize their potential and develop leadership skills has positively shaped countless lives throughout the Hudson Valley π
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sharon is a proud wife of 38 years, mom to two FDR graduates, and “Glamma” to three grandsons she absolutely adores π

Board Member Highlight: Stu Davis π
Talk about dedication! Since 1975, Stu Davis — owner of S & S Vac, Appliance & Sewing Center — has been keeping Hyde Park homes and businesses running strong for over 50 years! π
From vacuum repairs to sewing machines and everything in between, Stu has built his business on skill, honesty, and top-notch service. And his impact doesn’t stop there…
A Chamber member since 1976 and Board member for 30 years, Stu has helped raise thousands through the annual Car Show and supported countless community initiatives along the way. ππ
Behind it all is his amazing partner, his wife Catherine “Bunny,” sharing 37 wonderful years together and helping keep the business thriving and community-focused.
When he’s off the clock, you’ll find Stu enjoying sports memorabilia, cheering on his favorite teams, or cruising into car shows in his classic 1982 Trans Am. π
Stu, thank you for your decades of dedication, leadership, and heart. Hyde Park is better because of you! π«

π Board Member Highlight: Dora Visbeck π
We’re celebrating one of Hyde Park’s brightest community champions — Dora Visbeck! β¨
For 30 years, Dora has called Hyde Park home, pouring her heart into the community she loves and its rich history. She’s been married to her husband, Anthony, for 29 years and is a proud mom to Kristen and Kayla — and an even prouder grandma to Kelsey, Kara, Kaitlyn & Michele. ππ¨π©π§π§
π Dora is an active member of the Hyde Park United Methodist Church and has been part of the Ulster Savings Bank family since 2007, where she serves as Branch Manager & Assistant Secretary. This year marks 5 amazing years in the Hyde Park branch!
β€οΈ In 2024, Dora was honored as a Hudson Valley Woman of Impact by the American Heart Association. She continues to serve on the Executive Leadership Team and chairs the Go Red Silent Auction — using her voice and heart to empower local women.
ποΈ One of Dora’s greatest passions is Team Lacie Jae, the organization she coβfounded in memory of her friend Jordeana Snipe. As President, Dora helps support Hyde Park families impacted by cancer — a true testament to her compassion and dedication.
π Dora also gives back by serving as:
• 1st Vice President – Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce
• Vice President – Hyde Park Rotary Club
• Treasurer – New Deal Creative Arts
• Volunteer – DCSPCA Resource Development Committee
And she was recognized as Volunteer Extraordinaire by Northern Dutchess News in 2025! πΉ
From past board service with Dutchess Outreach, Vassar Warner Home, Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation, Red Hook Community Center & the MidβHudson Civic Center… Dora’s impact runs deep.

β¨ Board Member Highlight: John Coppola β¨
Meet John Coppola, our Incoming President
of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce!
A lifelong Hyde Park resident and President of Coppola Brothers Enterprise, John works alongside his brothers, Luigi and Vincent, and under the wisdom of their incredible 93βyearβold father. Together, they operate some of Hyde Park’s most beloved family businesses—Coppola Brothers Sauces, Coppola’s OffβPremises Caterers, Coppola's Italian American Bistro, and the Woodlake Café. πβ¨
John is a proud father to three sons—Michael, Dominic, and John Joseph—and recently welcomed his first grandchild, Nico Peter Coppola. Family is truly at the center of everything he does.
For nearly 50 years, John has been a vital part of Hyde Park’s business community. A graduate ofDutchess Community College and Marist University, he continues to give back through education, service, and leadership. He was inducted into the DCC Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 2015 and has served on the DCC Foundation Board.
A man of deep faith, John is active in Regina Coeli Church and The Calvary Church Hudson Valley.
John previously served as Chamber President from 2010–2012—and beginning January 2026, he returns for a second term! His leadership, dedication, and love for Hyde Park make him an incredible asset to our community. π
